Description
APC NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced provide reliable power distribution to IT Equipment within server and/or networking racks. Switched outlets to turn outlets on or off remotely. PDU level power metering via remote access and local display for power visibility and notification of potential overload. 4-in-1 combination outlets which can be used as either C13, C19, C15, or C21 outlets provide unparreled deployment flexibility. Maximum outlet density with 48 outlets in a 2.2 wide form factor. Outlets on the PDUs are color coded and/or labeled by breaker and input phase on 3 phase models to simplify deployment. Provides an alternating phase design whereby each of the 3 phases are organized into small outlet groups which alternate from top to bottom of the PDU to facilitate better power cord management and promote better load balancing. Power Sharing allows PDUs cascaded together via 2 ethernet ports enable an Network Management Card to continue functioning in the event of an AC power loss. No interruption in Network communication, sensors operation, and alarm traps. Live Swap Network Management Card (NMC) which can be replaced without powering down the PDU or connected devices to minimize downtime in the unlikely event of an NMC power event. Rated and approved to operate up to 60C (140F) at full load ensures reliability and availability even in today's high density deployments. Gigabit ethernet to enhance and standardize network connectivity across all assets in the data center. A second ethernet port (10/100) is available to allow cascading to other PDUs, connect to a 2nd private network, or provide network redundancy. 1% metering accuracy for the peace of mind to use NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced to bill based on power usage. In addition, the higher level of accuracy ensures the most precise measures for capacity planning and threshold alarm monitoring. Two environmental sensor ports allow for optional sensors (sold separately) to be connected. For data center deployments across multiple regions, these PDUs are both UL and CE rated providing one PDU that can be used globally to simplify and standardize deployment.
This APC Switched Rack PDU power distribution unit has a wide range of standardized PDU features that increase network efficiency, manageability and functionality. The output and input connections are (8)C13. Network management capabilities allow you to configure and manage rack PDUs from remote locations. It has has a local current monitoring display that gives a visible warning in case of an overload. The remote individual outlet control provides real-time monitoring of connected loads. It has a multi-tier user access that enables you to restrict unauthorized use of outlets. This rack has a single input power source making it easy to install.

Toolless Rack Mounting Capabilities

Server cases do not require additional tools to mount into NetShelter Enclosures, which allows the users to quickly and easily mount units in the rear of the enclosure.

Vertical Mounting Capabilities

Easily mounts vertically in racks or enclosures and occupies zero U of valuable rack space, which allows more equipment in the rack. Units that mount vertically are optimized to fit in a NetShelter enclosures.

Wide range of input and output connections

Product family includes a variety of input and output connections to distribute 120V, 208V, or 230V power to multiple outlets. Having a variety of inputs and outputs allow users to adapt to varying power requirements. APC offers units that bring up to 14.4kW using a single branch whip.

Single input power source

Supply power from one branch whip to multiple pieces of equipment, conveniently powering rack-mount equipment. Saves time and money during installation by using one branch whip and standard connections.

Rack-Mountable

Includes horizontal, vertical, and toolless-mount varieties. Puts power where it is needed most - in the racks near the equipment.

Integrates with StruxureWare Data Center Expert

An IT-ready, scalable access monitoring system that collects, organizes, and distributes critical alerts, surveillance video and key information, providing a unified view of complex physical infrastructure environments from anywhere on the network

Load indicator LED

Indicates overload and warning conditions based on the user-defined alarm thresholds. Alerts users of potential overloaded circuits.

Flash Upgradeable

Quickly and easily upgrade firmware via network download for future product enhancements. Eliminates the need to replace products already installed in the field when new features are released. (Note: Networked units only)

Remote Management Capabilities

Full-featured network management interfaces that provide standards-based management via Web, SNMP, and Telnet. Allows users to access, configure, and manage units from remote locations to save valuable time. Associated with this feature is the ability to quickly and easily upgrade the firmware via network download to installed units for future product enhancements.

Alarm Thresholds

Define alarm thresholds in order to avoid overloaded circuits. Network and visual alarms inform the user of possible problems. (Note: Only available on units with the current monitoring capabilities. Please see SKU specifications for availability)

Local Current Monitoring Display

The aggregate current draw per rack PDU is displayed on the unit via a digital display. The local digital display helps installers avoid overloaded circuits by providing a visible warning when the current draw is close to the maximum amperage draw of the strip. (Available on designated SKUs only)
APC Metered Rack PDUs offer resilient power distribution and actively measure, display, and log amperage to support real-time monitoring and historical reporting. This PDU remote monitoring and user-defined alarms to help prevent circuit overloads that can cause accidental power loss to critical equipment. The historical reporting enables users to optimize energy use and plan for capacity with confidence. This PDU can operate at up to 60 degrees Celsius and can be accessed, configured, and managed remotely via EcoStruxure IT, Web, SNMP and Command Line Interface. Power is supplied to the PDU at 200-230 volts via IEC 309 plug with a 3.6m (11 ft) cord while power comes out at 230 volts through (36) IEC 320 C13 and (6) IEC 320 C19 outlets. As a Green Premium product, this unit comes with a verified product environment profile, including carbon footprint, scope 3 emissions and end of life instructions.
